Depeche Mode – The Singles 81>85 (Vinyl 2LP | UK Reissue | 1998)

Depeche Mode – The Singles 81>85 collects the singles from Depeche Mode's first five years and was first released on Mute in 1985. It runs from the debut "Dreaming Of Me" from the Vince Clarke era through "Everything Counts" and "People Are People" to "Shake The Disease" and "It's Called A Heart" from 1985, tracing the move from light synth-pop to the darker sound of the mid-eighties. The singles were produced by Daniel Miller, Depeche Mode and Gareth Jones. This copy is the remastered 1998 UK reissue (Mute LMUTEL1) as a double LP in a gatefold sleeve with original inner sleeves and a small merchandise insert; side D closes with the Some Bizzare version of "Photographic" and the Schizo Mix of "Just Can't Get Enough".
