FAQ
Is this the original pressing?
No. The compilation first came out in 1978; this record is the 1980 Japanese reissue on CBS (30AP 1876) with half-speed mastering.
What does half-speed mastering mean?
When the lacquer is cut, the tape machine and the cutting lathe run at half speed. This is meant to transfer high frequencies and transients to the disc more precisely. Japanese "Master Sound" editions are valued by collectors for their sound quality.
What does media NM- / sleeve VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal traces. VG+ (Very Good plus) for the sleeve means light signs of use, well preserved overall. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
