FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes – it is the 2009 US edition on Purple Pyramid (CLP 2032), limited to 300 numbered copies. The recordings themselves date from 1969 and 1970.

Is that really Elton John singing?
Yes. Before his breakthrough he recorded cover versions of current hits as a session singer for budget series such as "Top of the Pops" and "Hot Hits". The singers were not named there – only later compilations like this one made his contributions known.

What does media NM- / cover NM- mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means almost like new, with at most minimal signs of use. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
