Elvis Costello – My Aim Is True is Elvis Costello's debut album, released on 22 July 1977 on Stiff Records (SEEZ 3). It was recorded in a handful of short sessions between late 1976 and early 1977 at Pathway Studios in London and produced by Nick Lowe. Costello was still working as a computer operator at the time; his backing band was the Californian group Clover, who went uncredited on the original release for contractual reasons. The album includes "Alison" and "Less Than Zero" and reached No. 14 in the UK. This copy is the 1977 UK original pressing.

Why is "Watching The Detectives" missing?
The song was not on the original UK LP. It was first issued as a single and only added to the US edition on Columbia (November 1977).
