Elvis Presley - Elvis In Demand (Vinyl LP | UK Original | 1977)

Elvis Presley – Elvis In Demand is a 1977 UK compilation on RCA (PL 42003). To mark the 21st anniversary of the Official Elvis Presley Fan Club of Great Britain, RCA let the members choose the sixteen tracks themselves. As a result it features fewer big hits and more album tracks, B-sides and film songs, such as Bob Dylan's "Tomorrow Is A Long Time", "The First Time Ever I Saw Her Face" and "Suspicion", which was issued as a UK single in 1976. The tracks come partly in stereo, partly in mono. This copy is a 1977 UK original pressing.

FAQ

Who chose the tracks?
According to the liner notes, RCA invited the members of the British Elvis fan club, on its 21st anniversary, to pick sixteen tracks from Presley's catalogue. That is why the LP contains many songs rarely found on compilations before.

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. The LP was released in the UK by RCA in 1977, and this copy is a UK pressing from that year. Editions were also issued in Australia, Italy and other countries.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
Record: NM- (Near Mint minus) means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. Sleeve: VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that barely affect playback or the overall impression. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Elvis Presley records?
Yes, for example Rarities – 12 Songs In Very Special Versions and Rare Elvis Vol. 2. More titles are in our Beat & Rock & Roll collection.
