Description

Gary Peacock, Keith Jarrett, Jack DeJohnette – Tales Of Another is an album by bassist Gary Peacock on ECM Records (cat. no. ECM 1101). It was recorded in February 1977 at Generation Sound Studios in New York, engineered by Tony May, mixed by Martin Wieland and produced by Manfred Eicher. It is the first record by the trio that became known six years later as Keith Jarrett's "Standards Trio", but here every piece is by Peacock. This copy is the 1977 German original pressing.

FAQ

Is this already the later "Standards Trio"?
Yes, the same three musicians. In 1977, though, they recorded under Peacock's name and played only his compositions. They began recording standards as a trio under Keith Jarrett's name in 1983.

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. This is the 1977 German first edition on ECM, cat. no. ECM 1101.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) for the record means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Gary Peacock records?
Yes, for example Gary Peacock – December Poems, Gary Peacock – Voice From The Past - PARADIGM, Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock, Jack DeJohnette – Standards, Vol. 1. More titles are in our Jazz collection.
