Description
Gato Barbieri / Don Cherry – Togetherness is a free jazz suite by cornetist Don Cherry, recorded in spring and summer 1965 in Paris and first released in 1966 on the Italian label Durium. Alongside Cherry and Argentine tenor saxophonist Gato Barbieri, the group features Karl Berger (vibraphone), Jean-François Jenny-Clark (bass) and Aldo Romano (drums), the same band Cherry was touring Europe with at the time. The two parts, Togetherness One and Two, are divided into five movements. This copy is the 1974 Italian reissue on Durium (BL 7068 J), which lists Barbieri first.
