Description
George Benson – Summertime is a compilation of guitarist George Benson's early recordings from his Columbia years in the mid-1960s, issued on CBS (cat. no. 32191) in the Nice Price series. The original sessions were produced by John Hammond and feature Benson with organ combo and horns, including Lonnie Smith on organ and Ronnie Cuber on baritone saxophone. Next to his own tunes you get Gershwin's "Summertime", "Willow Weep For Me" and Marvin Gaye's hit "Ain't That Peculiar". This copy is a European reissue.
