Description

Helloween – Keeper Of The Seven Keys (Part I) is the second studio album by Hamburg band Helloween and the first with singer Michael Kiske. It was recorded from November 1986 to January 1987 at Horus Sound Studio in Hanover, produced by Tommy Newton and Tommy Hansen, and released on May 23, 1987 by Noise International (cat. no. N 0057). Alongside short anthems such as "I'm Alive" and "Future World" it contains the 13-minute epic "Halloween". Together with Part II (1988) the album is regarded as a defining record of European power metal. This copy is a 1987 German original pressing in a gatefold sleeve with inner sleeve.

Yes. This is the 1987 German first edition on Noise International, catalogue number N 0057, in a gatefold sleeve with inner sleeve.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
Both record and sleeve are graded VG+. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that hardly matter. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Who sings on the album?
Michael Kiske. Keeper Of The Seven Keys (Part I) is his first album with Helloween; on the debut Walls Of Jericho guitarist Kai Hansen had handled vocals.

Do you have more Helloween records?
Yes, for example Helloween – Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II (DE original 1988), Helloween – Walls Of Jericho (DE original 1985) or the 2020 reissue of Part I. More titles are in our Metal collection.
