Description

Herbie Hancock – Sound-System is the follow-up to Future Shock, released in 1984 on Columbia/CBS. Hancock again worked with bassist and producer Bill Laswell and turntablist Grand Mixer D.ST, joined by African musicians such as Foday Musa Suso on kora and Aiyb Dieng on percussion, plus Wayne Shorter on Lyricon. The result combines electro-funk and early hip-hop with West African rhythms. This copy is a 1986 European reissue on CBS (cat. no. CBS 32805).
