I A O - The Love Amps (Vinyl LP | DE Original | 1987)

I A O – The Love Amps is an album by the band I A O, released in Germany in 1987 on the Berlin label No-Age Records – an idiosyncratic mix of new wave and art rock. It was recorded in November 1986, and two tracks were remixed at Tritonus studio in January 1987. The band co-produced it with Dorothée Bosky and Norbert Hähnel, better known as "Der Wahre Heino"; the cover accordingly reads "Ein Produkt aus dem Hause Scheissladen… Berlin" – Hähnel's record shop. A nice detail: every track is dedicated to a person, from Marc Bolan and Brion Gysin to Paul Bowles and Sharon Tate.

On offer is the German original pressing from 1987 on No-Age Records (NA 1 / No Age 79065), in stereo.
