James Brown – The Payback (Vinyl 2LP | US Original | Polydor | 1973)

James Brown – The Payback was released as a double album on Polydor in 1973. The music was originally intended as the soundtrack to the film "Hell Up in Harlem" but was rejected, so Brown released it as an album in its own right. The seven-minute-plus title track is one of the most sampled funk recordings in hip-hop. On offer is the US original pressing from 1973 (Polydor PD 2-3007) in a gatefold sleeve.
