Heavy Horses (1978) is one of Jethro Tull's most beloved albums - a warm, pastoral celebration of rural English life and working horses, built around Ian Anderson's intricate flute work, acoustic guitar arrangements and his characteristically literate, nature-themed songwriting. Part of an informal rural trilogy alongside Songs from the Wood and Stormwatch, it stands as a high point of the band's folk-prog period and a perennial favourite among Tull collectors.
