The ten tracks come from McLaughlin's Columbia years, including the Mahavishnu Orchestra albums "The Inner Mounting Flame" (The Noonward Race, You Know You Know) and "Birds Of Fire" (Celestial Terrestrial Commuters, Sanctuary), "Love Devotion Surrender" with Carlos Santana (A Love Supreme) and the solo album "Johnny McLaughlin – Electric Guitarist" (Friendship, Phenomenon: Compulsion). This copy is the 1982 German edition.

Is this an original pressing?
Yes, this is the first edition of this compilation from 1982. It was distributed only through Zweitausendeins; the record was made in the Netherlands. A later reissue has a red CBS label.

What is Zweitausendeins?
A Frankfurt mail-order company that offered its own low-priced, exclusive editions and compilations from major labels in the 1970s and 1980s.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
