Description
John Surman – Upon Reflection is a solo album by British saxophonist and bass clarinettist John Surman on ECM (cat. no. ECM 1148). It was recorded in May 1979 at Talent Studio in Oslo, produced by Manfred Eicher, and released in 1979. Surman plays every instrument himself using overdubs: soprano and baritone saxophone, bass clarinet and synthesizer, whose sequences form the base of many pieces. All eight compositions are by Surman. This copy is the 1979 German original pressing.
