Description

Keith Sweat – Make It Last Forever is the debut album by New York R&B singer Keith Sweat, released in 1987 on Elektra (European cat. no. 960 763-1). Sweat produced it himself, co-producing four tracks with Teddy Riley, including the single "I Want Her" and the title track, a duet with Jacci McGhee. The album is regarded as one of the early new jack swing records, the blend of R&B vocals and hip-hop beats. This copy is the 1987 European original pressing, made in Germany.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. This is the 1987 European first edition on Elektra with catalogue number 960 763-1, made in Germany.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
Record: NM- (Near Mint minus) means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. Sleeve: VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that barely affect playback or the overall impression. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

What is new jack swing?
New jack swing combines R&B vocals with the drum-machine beats and samples of late-eighties hip-hop. Teddy Riley, who co-produced four tracks here, is considered one of the key producers of the style.
