Description

Larry Coryell – Spaces is an album by US guitarist Larry Coryell, released on Vanguard in 1970 and produced by Daniel Weiss. Coryell plays in duo and quintet settings with John McLaughlin on second guitar, Miroslav Vitouš on bass, Billy Cobham on drums and Chick Corea on electric piano (on Chris) – musicians who soon shaped fusion with the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report and Return To Forever. The record is therefore regarded as an early landmark of jazz-rock. The programme includes the long title track, Scott LaFaro's Gloria's Step and René Thomas' Rene's Theme as a guitar duet. This copy is a German reissue on Vanguard (cat. no. 1C 072-95 967).
