Description

Lightning Raiders – Criminal World / Citizens is a 12" single by London pub rock and punk band Lightning Raiders, led by guitarist Johnny "Little John" Hodge. "Criminal World" first came out in the UK in 1981 as a 7" on Revenge Records; in the Netherlands, Island Records issued both songs the same year as a 45 RPM 12" in its "Hard Rock On 12 Inch" series (cat. no. 600.435). It was produced by Gordon Hale and Reid-Dick. Shortly afterwards, in December 1981, Island dropped the band. This copy is the 1981 Dutch original pressing.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes, it is the 1981 Dutch original issue on Island (600.435). The first UK release of "Criminal World" was a 7" single on Revenge Records.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use, overall in good shape. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

What is the "Hard Rock On 12 Inch" series?
Under this name Island Records released hard rock singles in the Netherlands in the early 1980s as 45 RPM 12" records. The larger format allows wider grooves and usually a louder cut than a 7".
