Released in 1981 on the legendary New York independent label 99 Records, Successive Reflexes is the debut EP by downtown Manhattan post-punk outfit Liquid Liquid. Blending funk rhythms, minimalist percussion, and hypnotic bass lines with a raw no wave sensibility, the band were pioneers of the early 80s New York underground scene. Their track "Cavern" would later be famously sampled by Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel. A highly sought-after original pressing on 99 Records.
