Description

Madlib – Shades Of Blue (Madlib Invades Blue Note) is an album by Californian producer Madlib (Otis Jackson Jr.), released on Blue Note in 2003. The label opened its archive to him: Madlib remixed recordings from the Blue Note catalogue, partly using elements of the original multitrack tapes, and recorded his own versions of pieces such as Horace Silver's "Song For My Father", Wayne Shorter's "Footprints" and Bobby Hutcherson's "Montara". Executive producers were Eli Wolf and Peanut Butter Wolf. This copy is the 2023 reissue in the Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series: two 180g LPs in a gatefold sleeve, new and factory sealed.
