Madonna - Confessions On A Dance Floor (Pink Vinyl 2LP | EU Reissue | 2019)

Madonna – Confessions On A Dance Floor is Madonna's tenth studio album, released in November 2005 on Warner Bros. Records. It was recorded from November 2004 to June 2005, mainly at Stuart Price's home studio plus Mayfair Studios in London and Murlyn Studios in Stockholm; Price co-produced almost every track. The twelve songs run into each other like a continuous DJ mix, and "Hung Up" is built on a sample of ABBA's "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)". In 2007 the album won the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album. This copy is the limited EU reissue as a double LP on pink vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
No. The original was released in 2005. This record is a limited European reissue on pink vinyl with catalogue number 9362-49460-1.

Which ABBA song is in "Hung Up"?
"Hung Up" uses a sample from the 1979 song "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)". Madonna asked Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus for permission in a letter, which is why both are credited as co-writers.

Why do the songs run into each other?
The album is built like a DJ set: the tracks are mixed together without gaps, so each side plays straight through.

Do you have more Madonna records?
Yes, for example Madonna – Ray Of Light (2LP), Madonna – American Life Mixshow Mix (12" EP) and Madonna – Celebration (4LP). More titles are in our New vinyl collection.
