Mark Isham, Art Lande – We Begin is a duo album by trumpeter Mark Isham and pianist Art Lande on ECM Records (cat. no. ECM 1338). It was digitally recorded in January 1987 at Rainbow Studio in Oslo, produced by Manfred Eicher with Jan Erik Kongshaug as engineer, and released in 1987. Besides their main instruments both play synthesizer and percussion, creating a sound that moves between chamber-like duets and wide electronic textures. Isham later became best known as a film composer. This copy is the 1987 German original.
