Description

Megabyte – Powerplay is an album by the project Megabyte, released in 1987 on Innovative Communication (cat. no. IC 80.062), the electronic music label founded by Klaus Schulze. The writers are credited as the personas Amanda Mega and Billy Byte; behind them are Thilo Rex, who also produced the album, and Steven Töteberg, who later continued as Quiet Force. The record combines Berlin School sequencer lines with downtempo and ambient. The ten-minute suite "Secret Destination" is subtitled "The Flight Of Mathias Rust" and refers to Rust's flight to Moscow in May 1987. This copy is the original German pressing from 1987.
