FAQ
Who was Mikey Dread?
A Jamaican deejay, engineer and producer. His show “Dread at the Controls” was the most popular programme on Jamaica's JBC radio in the late 1970s; later he toured with The Clash and appeared on Sandinista!.
What does “Rub-A-Dub” mean?
In the early 1980s it was the name for the style of deejays toasting over well-known riddims. On this side the vocal cut is followed directly by the dub version.
What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) means record and sleeve show light wear. The record is rather better than VG+; there is a name written inside the sleeve. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
