Description

Miroslav Vitous – Journey's End is a quartet album by Czech bassist Miroslav Vitous, a founding member of Weather Report, on ECM (cat. no. ECM 1242). It was recorded in July 1982 at Talent Studio in Oslo, produced by Manfred Eicher with Jan Erik Kongshaug as engineer, and released in 1983. With John Surman, John Taylor and Jon Christensen, Vitous plays quiet, chamber-like music: the opener U Dunaje U Prešpurka is based on a Czech folk song, and Only One is dedicated to his late father. This copy is the 1983 German original pressing.
