Description
Mwendo Dawa – New York Lines is an album by the Swedish jazz group Mwendo Dawa, released in 1982 on the Swedish label Dragon (cat. no. DRLP 41). Founded in 1974, the band was shaped by pianist Susanna Lindeborg and saxophonist Ove Johansson, who wrote five of the six pieces. On bass is Lars Danielsson, who later became known internationally. It was recorded at Secret Sound and mixed and mastered by Rune Persson at Glen Studio; the band produced it themselves. Stylistically the record sits between fusion and jazz-funk. This copy is the 1982 Swedish original edition.
