Description
Nektar – Man In The Moon is a studio album by Nektar, the British progressive rock band long based in Germany, released on Ariola in 1980 (cat. no. 202 215). It was recorded between January and March 1980 at Briar Brook Studios in New Jersey and Essex Studios in London, produced by Roye Albrighton and Rupert Hine. Guitarist and singer Albrighton was back, joined by keyboard player Taff Freeman and a new rhythm section of Carmine Rojas and Dave Prater. The songs are shorter and more pop-oriented than on the band's 1970s classics. This copy is the 1980 German pressing.

FAQ
Is this the original pressing?
Yes. Man In The Moon was first released in Germany on Ariola in 1980; this is that German first edition with catalogue number 202 215.
What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that barely affect the overall impression. The sleeve is also graded VG+. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
Is this still progressive rock?
Partly. The title track and Torraine have longer instrumental passages, while many other songs are compact melodic and pop rock. If you know A Tab In The Ocean or Remember The Future, this is a noticeably more accessible side of the band.
Do you have more Nektar records?
Yes, for example Nektar – Remember The Future, Nektar – Journey To The Centre Of The Eye, Nektar – Live In New York. More titles are in our Progressive Rock collection.
