Description
Omega – Gammapolis is the ninth Hungarian studio album by Budapest rock band Omega, released in 1979 on Pepita (cat. no. SLPX 17579). It was recorded at the Hungarian Radio studio and Omega Stúdió, produced by the band itself, with lyrics by Gábor Várszegi. Synthesizer, Mellotron and guitar synthesizer shape the sound; the album is framed by "Start" and the two parts of the title track. FAQ
What does "export version" mean?
Under catalogue number SLPX 17579 there is a domestic Hungarian edition with Hungarian titles and an export edition for abroad with the titles given in English. The tracklist therefore shows both titles.
Is this the original pressing?
Yes. It is a Hungarian pressing from the year of release, 1979, on Pepita in a gatefold sleeve.
What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
Record: NM- (Near Mint minus) means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. Sleeve: VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that barely affect playback or the overall impression. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
Do you have more Omega records?
Yes, for example Omega – Time Robber (DE 1977), Omega 8: Csillagok útján / Skyrover and Omega – The Hall Of Floaters In The Sky. More titles are in our Progressive Rock collection.
