Description
Passport – Oceanliner is the 1980 album by Klaus Doldinger's jazz-rock band Passport on Atlantic (cat. no. ATL 50 688). Doldinger composed all the pieces and produced the record himself; it was recorded at Soundport Studio in the Isartal. Besides saxophone he plays keyboards, Lyricon and vocoder here, giving the album a clearly more electronic, pop-leaning sound than the early Passport records. Alongside instrumentals such as Ancient Saga, Bassride and Scope, Uptown Rendezvous is a vocal track sung by guitarist Kevin Mulligan, and Seaside is an excursion into reggae. This copy is the 1980 German original pressing.
