Downwind is Pierre Moerlen's Gong's second album under this name, released in 1979 on Arista. Building on the jazz-fusion foundations of its predecessor, it features Moerlen's trademark mallet percussion alongside a tight ensemble of jazz-rock heavyweights. More melodic and accessible than Time Is The Key, Downwind remains a highly regarded entry in the European fusion canon and a sought-after collector's piece.
