Time Is The Key (1979) is Pierre Moerlen's Gong at their most rhythmically ambitious - a sophisticated fusion record that strips away the psychedelic mysticism of early Gong in favour of precision, groove and jazz improvisation. Released on Arista / EMI Electrola, the album features Moerlen's virtuosic mallet percussion at the centre of an ensemble that bridges progressive rock and jazz fusion with remarkable fluency.

DE Original pressing on Arista / EMI Electrola (1C 064-63 314)
Pierre Moerlen's percussion-led Gong lineup - jazz-fusion at its most precise
Collector favourite for fusion and prog enthusiasts
