Psyche - Unveiling The Secret (Vinyl LP | FR Original | 1986)

Psyche – Unveiling The Secret is the second studio album by Psyche, the synth band from Edmonton, Canada, fronted by singer Darrin Huss. After their debut "Insomnia Theatre" (1985) the band signed to the Paris label New Rose Records, which released the album in December 1986. Its mix of cold synthesizers and dark darkwave atmosphere – from "Thundershowers" to the seven-minute title track – makes it a sought-after title of the 80s electronic scene. This copy is the French original pressing from 1986 (New Rose ROSE 108) with inner sleeve.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. It is the French 1986 issue on New Rose Records, catalogue number ROSE 108. You can recognise it by the hand-etched matrices "MPO … ROSE 108 A" and "… ROSE 108 B" in the run-out groove and the labels reading "℗ New Rose Records 1986" and "Made in France".

Who are Evan Panic and Anthony Red?
These are the names under which the band members are credited on the record; Evan Panic is a pseudonym of singer Darrin Huss. The band's debut was "Insomnia Theatre" (1985) – "Unveiling The Secret" is the second album.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) for the record means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
