Description
Racer X – Extreme Volume Live is the first live album by Los Angeles speed metal band Racer X, recorded at the Country Club in Reseda, California, with the Record Plant Mobile and released in 1988 on Shrapnel in the US and on Roadrunner in Europe (cat. no. RR 9530 1). It was produced by Ron Bloom and Ricky Delena, with Shrapnel founder Mike Varney as executive producer. Alongside songs from the first two studio albums it features solo spots by every instrumentalist, including guitar from Paul Gilbert (later of Mr. Big) and a drum solo by Scott Travis (with Judas Priest from 1989).
