Description

Return To Forever – Musicmagic is the last studio album by Chick Corea's fusion band, released in 1977 on CBS (UK cat. no. S CBS 81959). It was recorded and mixed in January and February 1977 at Caribou Ranch in Colorado, produced by Chick Corea with Stanley Clarke as co-producer and engineered by Bernie Kirsh. Instead of the quartet with Al Di Meola and Lenny White, an expanded line-up plays here with Gayle Moran, Joe Farrell, drummer Gerry Brown and a four-piece horn section. This copy is the 1977 UK original pressing with insert.

FAQ

Do Al Di Meola and Lenny White play on it?
No. After "Romantic Warrior" (1976) Corea reshaped the band: of the well-known quartet only he and Stanley Clarke remain, joined by Gayle Moran, Joe Farrell, Gerry Brown and horns.

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. This is the 1977 UK first edition on CBS, cat. no. S CBS 81959, including the insert.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) for the record means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Return To Forever records?
Yes, for example Return To Forever – Musicmagic (EU pressing), Chick Corea – Return To Forever, Chick Corea – My Spanish Heart. More titles are in our Fusion collection.
