Stanley Jordan - Magic Touch (Vinyl LP)

Stanley Jordan – Magic Touch is guitarist Stanley Jordan's first album for Blue Note, released in 1985 and produced by Al Di Meola. It was recorded at Songshop Studios in New York. Jordan mostly plays by tapping on the fretboard with both hands, allowing him to play melody, chords and bass lines at the same time; the album features his own pieces and versions of "Eleanor Rigby", "Freddie Freeloader", "'Round Midnight" and Jimi Hendrix's "Angel". It spent 51 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard jazz chart. This copy is the 1985 European original pressing.
