Released in 1969, MK II shows Steamhammer developing a heavier, blues-rooted sound while retaining the exploratory edge of late-1960s British rock. Its combination of raw guitar work, driving rhythm section and progressive ambition makes it a strong period piece for collectors of British blues rock.
