Description
Steve Hackett – Spectral Mornings is the third solo album by former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, released on 11 May 1979 on Charisma. It was recorded in January and February 1979 at Phonogram Studios in Hilversum, produced by John Acock and Hackett. It is the first album to feature members of his touring band; the title track became Hackett's best-known instrumental and "Every Day" one of his signature songs. It reached No. 22 in the UK. All pieces were written by Steve Hackett. This copy is the 1979 German pressing (Charisma 9124 039).

FAQ
Is this the original pressing?
It is the German Charisma edition from the release year 1979 with cat. no. 9124 039.
What does Media VG+ / Cover VG mean?
Media VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of wear that barely affect playback or the overall look. Cover VG (Very Good) means clear signs of use; on a record some surface noise is possible, on a sleeve e.g. ring wear or edge wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
What makes this album special?
Hackett uses the Roland GR-500 guitar synthesizer here for the second time, heard on "The Virgin And The Gypsy" and "Tigermoth". Many fans regard the line-up with Nick Magnus, Dik Cadbury and John Shearer as his classic band.
Do you have more Steve Hackett records?
Yes, for example his solo debut Steve Hackett – Voyage Of The Acolyte. His last studio album with Genesis is Genesis – Wind & Wuthering. More titles are in our Progressive Rock collection.
