Description
Sugar Blue – Cross Roads is the first album by New York harmonica player Sugar Blue, who lived in Paris in the late 1970s and also played on Rolling Stones records at the time. It was recorded in December 1979 at Studio Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, produced by Dominique Buscail, and first released in France on Free Bird. Besides Sugar Blue's own songs it includes Pontiac and Another Man Done Gone by Sonny Boy Williamson II and My Baby Caught The Train by Chester Burnett. Horn players such as Steve Potts and Longineu Parsons give the blues a jazzy edge. This copy is a French pressing on Blue Silver (BS 3324).
