Description

Tangerine Dream – Zeit is the double album first released on Ohr in 1972, subtitled “Largo in Four Movements” – four long, almost beatless soundscapes built from synthesizers, organ and cellos, recorded in 1972 in Stommeln near Cologne. Florian Fricke (Popol Vuh) plays Moog synthesizer on the first movement. On offer is the German reissue on Brain (BRAIN 2/1086) in a gatefold sleeve.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
No – the original came out on Ohr in 1972 (OMM 2/56021). This is the later German edition on Brain, catalogue number BRAIN 2/1086.

Does the Brain edition sound different from the Ohr original?
The Brain pressings were made from the same source plates as the Ohr original, which is why the run-out grooves still carry the Ohr number “st-omm-2/56.021”. Our guide Krautrock rarities: how to spot original pressings explains how to tell originals from reissues.

What does Media NM- / Sleeve VG+ mean?
The records are near mint; the sleeve shows only light wear. See Vinyl Grading for details.
