Tetrack – Let's Get Started is the debut album by Jamaican vocal group Tetrack, with Carlton “Tetrack” Hines, Paul Mangaroo and Dave Harvey, produced by Augustus Pablo and released on his Message label. It was recorded at Channel One and Harry J studios in Kingston; Carlton Hines wrote all the songs and the three singers share lead vocals. Pablo plays melodica, keyboards and xylophone, and the bass players include Robbie Shakespeare and Junior Dan. This copy is a Jamaican pressing on Message; the label says 1978, while the back cover points to a 1980 first edition.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
It is a Jamaican pressing on Message with 1978 printed on the label. According to other sources the first edition came out in 1980; copies with a large label groove are considered originals, those with a small groove a repress from the second half of the 1980s.

Who sings on which track?
The three members take turns: Paul Mangaroo leads on “Let's Get Started” and “Isn't It Time”, among others, Carlton Hines on “It's Up To You” and “Simple Things”, and Dave Harvey on “Judge & Jury” and “We Don't Get Along”. Pat Kelly sings harmony on “Let's Get Started”.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
