Description

The Beatles – Rubber Soul is the Beatles' sixth studio album, released on 3 December 1965 on Parlophone (original cat. no. PCS 3075). It was recorded between 12 October and 11 November 1965 at EMI Studios in London (now Abbey Road) and produced by George Martin. With songs such as "Norwegian Wood", "In My Life" and "Michelle" and Harrison's first use of the sitar, it marks the step from beat music towards the studio work of the later albums; in the UK it spent eight weeks at No. 1. This copy is the 2012 remastered stereo edition on 180g vinyl, still in its original shrink-wrap.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
No. The original was released in the UK in 1965. This record is the 2012 remastered reissue on 180g vinyl, which still carries the original catalogue number PCS 3075 on the label.

What does Media NM- / Cover NM- mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means close to new with at most minimal signs of use; this applies to both record and sleeve here. The sleeve is still in its original shrink-wrap with hype sticker. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Which track listing does this edition have?
The original UK running order with 14 songs. The US Capitol edition of the time had a different selection, among other things without "Drive My Car", "Nowhere Man" and "If I Needed Someone".

Do you have more Beatles records?
Yes, for example The Beatles (White Album), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl. More titles are in our Rock collection.
