Description

The Dave Brubeck Quartet – Dave Digs Disney is an album of jazz versions of songs from Disney films such as Snow White, Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland. It was recorded on June 29 and 30 and August 8, 1957, produced by George Avakian, and first released in 1957 on Columbia. Besides Brubeck and Paul Desmond, the quartet features Norman Bates on bass and Joe Morello on drums. Brubeck's take on "Some Day My Prince Will Come" is one of the early jazz recordings of a tune later also recorded by Miles Davis. This copy is a 1974 Japanese reissue on CBS/Sony (mono).
