Description
The Lounge Lizards – Live From The Drunken Boat is the second album by the New York band led by saxophonist John Lurie, released in 1983 on Europa Records (cat. no. JP 2012). It was recorded in November 1982 and produced by Teo Macero and John Lurie. The Lounge Lizards were founded in 1978 by John and Evan Lurie and came out of the downtown and no wave scene; this album features a new line-up with trombonist Peter Zummo, bassist Tony Garnier and drummer Dougie Bowne. Alongside Lurie's quirky, often short pieces, the set includes Eric Dolphy's "Out To Lunch" and Duke Ellington's "In A Sentimental Mood". This copy is the 1983 French original pressing.
