Description
The Martian – Meet The Red Planet is the first release on Red Planet, the Detroit sublabel of Underground Resistance. The Martian comes from the UR camp around "Mad" Mike Banks. Side A holds the title track and "Lost Transmission From Earth" with words by Eldridge Cleaver; side B has the dark electro cut "The Intruder". The record blends Detroit techno and electro and is one of the sought-after early Red Planet titles. This copy is the 1992 US issue (RP-1) at 45 RPM in a plain sleeve (generic).

FAQ
Is this the original pressing?
This copy is the 1992 US issue on Red Planet (RP-1), the label's first record.
What does Media NM- / Cover Generic mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means almost like new, with only minimal signs of use. "Generic" is not a grade: it means a plain sleeve without its own artwork. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
Why does "The Intruder" play differently?
Side B is cut inside-out. Put the needle down near the label and "The Intruder" plays towards the edge.
