The Sisters Of Mercy - Alice (Vinyl 12" | UK Original | 1983)

The Sisters Of Mercy – Alice is one of the band's early singles on their own Merciful Release label. “Alice” first came out as a 7" in 1982 (MR 015); in March 1983 the 12" edition (MR 021) followed with three more tracks: “Floorshow”, “Phantom” and the Stooges cover “1969”. Drum machine, dark guitars and Andrew Eldritch's deep voice define the early gothic rock sound. On offer is the 1983 UK 12" in the thumbcut sleeve.
