The Valentines - The Valentines (Vinyl LP)

The Valentines – The Valentines is a 1987 Australian compilation of original late-1960s recordings by beat and pop band The Valentines. It is sought after mainly because a young Bon Scott – later the singer of AC/DC – shares lead vocals here with Vince Lovegrove. This is the Australian mono LP on Clarion Records from the "Clarion Collector's Edition Series".

FAQ

Is this an original pressing?
It is the first issue of this compilation, released in Australia in 1987. The songs themselves were originally released as singles in the 1960s.

Is that really Bon Scott singing?
Yes – the cover credits the original recordings "with Bon Scott, Vince Lovegrove …". Bon Scott later found worldwide fame as AC/DC's singer, which makes these early recordings interesting for collectors.

What do media NM- / sleeve VG+ mean?
The record is near mint (NM-); the sleeve shows light signs of use (VG+). More on our Vinyl Grading page.
