Description
Sade – Diamond Life is the debut album by the British band Sade, released on Epic in July 1984. Produced by Robin Millar and recorded at Power Plant Studios in London, it blends soul, jazz and pop into the calm, elegant sound Sade became known for. With "Your Love Is King", "When Am I Going To Make A Living" and "Smooth Operator" it contains the band's first hits, and in 1985 it won the Brit Award for British Album of the Year. This copy is the 2024 EU reissue (Epic 19658784801): a half-speed remaster from Abbey Road Studios on 180g vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.

FAQ
Is this the original pressing?
No. The original was released on Epic in 1984. This copy is a 2024 EU reissue, remastered at Abbey Road Studios.
What does half-speed mastered mean?
With half-speed mastering, both the source and the cutting lathe run at half speed. The cutting stylus has more time to shape the groove, which can render fine high-frequency detail more precisely. The lacquers for this edition were cut at Abbey Road Studios.
Is the record new?
Yes. The record is new and factory sealed, so it has not been opened or played.
Do you have more Sade records?
Yes, for example Sade – Promise (half-speed reissue 2024), Sade – Stronger Than Pride (reissue 2024) or Sade – Love Deluxe (reissue 2024). More titles are in our Soul & Funk collection.
