Anthony Johnson – Gun Shot is an early album by Jamaican dancehall singer Anthony Johnson, released in 1982 on Jah Thomas' Midnight Rock label (cat. no. MRLP 002). It was produced and arranged by Nkrumah “Jah” Thomas with the Roots Radics as backing band, recorded and mixed at Channel One and King Tubby's with engineer Barnabas. The title track had already come out as a single on Midnight Rock. In the UK the LP was distributed by Jet Star. This copy is a 1982 UK original pressing.

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. The LP was released in 1982 on Midnight Rock with catalogue number MRLP 002, here in the UK edition. A Jamaican edition and a variant pressed in New York in the UK sleeve came out the same year.

Who is Jah Thomas?
Nkrumah “Jah” Thomas is a Jamaican deejay and producer. On his Midnight Rock label he produced dancehall records with the Roots Radics in the early 1980s, often mixed at King Tubby's.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
