Brian Eno - More Blank Than Frank (Vinyl LP | US Pressing | 1986)

Brian Eno – More Blank Than Frank is a compilation of ten songs from Eno's rock albums of 1973 to 1977, released on EG in March 1986. It was issued alongside Russell Mills' book More Dark Than Shark, which illustrates Eno's lyrics. The tracks come from Here Come The Warm Jets, Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy), Another Green World and Before And After Science; contributors include Robert Fripp, Phil Manzanera, Phil Collins and Jaki Liebezeit. The CD version appeared as Desert Island Selection with a different track selection. This copy is the 1986 US pressing (EGLP 65) with insert.

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. The compilation was first released in 1986, in several countries at once. This copy is the US edition on EG (EGLP 65). We also have the 1986 German pressing: Eno – More Blank Than Frank.

How does it differ from the CD Desert Island Selection?
The CD has eleven tracks, seven of them shared with the LP. It leaves out the harder songs such as The Great Pretender and King's Lead Hat and ends with an edit of 1/1 from Music For Airports.
