Description
Depeche Mode – Master And Servant (An ON-USound Science Fiction Dance Hall Classic) is the limited 12" edition of the “Master And Servant” single from the album “Some Great Reward”. The single was released by Mute on 20 August 1984 and reached number 9 in the UK and number 2 in West Germany. For this special edition, dub producer Adrian Sherwood (On-U Sound) reworked both “Master And Servant” and “People Are People”, which appears here as “Are People People?”. FAQ
What makes this 12" special?
It has no standard album version but two dub reworkings by Adrian Sherwood, founder of the On-U Sound label. It was a limited edition issued alongside the regular 12" with the “Slavery Whip Mix”.
Is this the original pressing?
Yes. This is the 1984 UK first edition on Mute.
What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
For the record: NM- (Near Mint minus) means close to new, with at most minimal signs of use. For the sleeve, VG+ stands for light wear such as some edge wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
Do you have more Depeche Mode records?
Yes, for example Master And Servant (Slavery Whip Mix, grey marbled), People Are People (12", red marbled) and the album Some Great Reward (grey vinyl). More in our Synth-Pop collection.
